It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are the only things left for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That it took until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It's challenging for their batters to possess a record if not afforded the opportunity.

"An opportunity to play and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself that way, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

Once she was removed her side needed 66 more at one run per ball - a manageable total now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we believe we can do it."

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she later said she regretted not playing through the pain.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have postponed plans to retire, this World Cup is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is yet to win a world championship as skipper.
